Over 3,000 pounds of heritage breed animals, such as cow, pig, lamb and goat, as well as duck,\u00a0chicken, lobster,\u00a0oysters and heirloom vegetables, will be spit-roasted or cooked over live wood fires on the Lawn and Hill at Base Village.<\/p>\n<p>Participating chefs include Matt Accordion of SPQR in San Francisco, Jim Butchart of Elk Camp in Aspen, Mark Fischer of Town in Carbondale, Ray Garcia of Broken Spanish in L.A., Mike Isabella of Graffiato in D.C., Alex Seidel of Fruition in Denver, Richard Sandoval of Richard Sandoval Restaurants and Kelly Whitaker of Basta in Boulder. The gourmet feast also features notable wines, craft beers, crisp ciders and top spirits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur live-fire event lets guests experience and taste food cooked with primal techniques, drawing out new levels of interest and culinary enthusiasm about every species of farmer raised animals,\u201d said Brady Lowe of Atlanta-based Taste Network and creator of the Cochon 555 concept. \u201cHeritage Fire has been Napa Valley\u2019s cult, premier culinary event for over six years.
