\"shapeimage_4\"<\/a>On Sunday, April 6,\u00a0renowned composer Andrea Clearfield and local choreographer Alya Howe will bring\u00a0together another diverse group of great\u00a0talents for an evening of artistic\u00a0exploration at The Salon at Justice Snow\u2019s<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Dr. Clearfield and Ms. Howe have co-curated a program of dynamic\u00a0performances in the\u00a0intimate and historic setting of Justice Snow\u2019s Restaurant\u00a0+ Bar in downtown Aspen.<\/p>\n

The Salon is an award-winning performance\u00a0series \u2028in Philadelphia. Founded by Andrea Clearfield in 1986 it is \u201cone of the\u00a0best-known music salons in the country\u201d with\u00a0a \u201cdeep bench of top-flight\u00a0musicians\u201d, \u201can underground sensation\u201d (The Philadelphia Inquirer), and winner\u00a0of the \u201cBest of Philly Award 2008\u201d (Philadelphia\u00a0Magazine). The Salon features\u00a0contemporary, classical, jazz, folk, world, spoken word, dance and art. Modeled\u00a0after the 19th Century European salons, The Salon builds\u00a0audiences and fosters\u00a0new art forms in an intimate and supportive atmosphere. Michele Kiley and\u00a0Andrea Clearfield started The Salon at Justice Snow\u2019s in September\u00a02012. Every\u00a0event has been lauded by audiences and performers alike.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Multimedia\u00a0conceptual and sound artist Alyce Santoro performing \u201cSonic Fabric\u201d, a\u00a0textile woven from audiocassette tape recorded with intricate collages of\u00a0found and collected sound samples<\/div>\n

\u2022 Singer-songwriter\u00a0Matt Haslett marrying music and poetry in performance of his original\u00a0songs and stories<\/div>\n
\u2022 Spoken\u00a0word artist Wade Newsom performing his original works<\/div>\n
\u2022 Planetary\u00a0gong artist Heidi Svoboda shares healing sounds, vibrations and\u00a0frequencies<\/div>\n
