The Aspen Mac & Cheese Festival takes place on E. Hopkins Avenue “restaurant row” Saturday Sept. 7 2014 between 2-5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
Local Aspen Caterers & Restaurants compete with Mac. & Cheese variants with the public being the ultimate judge in an event that is similar to Aspen’s Soupskol<\/a>. \u00a0Besides a number of 2oz portions of Mac. & Cheese attendees can indulge in other fun & games.\u00a0Celebrity chef Susie Jimenez will return as a special guest.<\/p>\n Macaroni & Cheese entries maybe cooked up by restaurants like\u00a0Finbarr’s Irish Pub<\/a>, 8k Viceroy<\/a>, Syzygy<\/a>, Ute City<\/a>, Smoke<\/a>, Meatball Shack<\/a>, Elevation<\/a>, St. Regis<\/a>, Snowmass Kitchen, L’Hostaria, Justice Snow’s, 520 Grill, Rustique, Clarks Market, Jimmy’s<\/a>, Cache Cache, Steak House No. 316, Boogie’s Diner<\/a>, Aspen Elks Lodge and the Red Onion<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2011 & 2012 Rustique’s macaroni-and-cheese dish was awarded 1st place & Jimmy’s<\/a> placed 2nd.<\/p>\n
