As a resident expert on food in the valley, I was asked an unusual question today. Where should I take a first date out to dinner? For one thing, it is the off season in Aspen so there are less restaurants to choose from. A first date is a lot of pressure so you want a casual dining scene with a fun relaxed atmosphere. Of course, The Restaurant<\/a> at the St. Regis is out of the question, and other fine dining restaurants in Aspen.<\/p>\n

After thinking about it, I thought of Mexican<\/a>. As long as she likes Mexican food<\/a>, Su Casa<\/a>, Zocalito Bistro<\/a>, and Cantina<\/a> all have a fun atmosphere, moderately priced food, and a casual atmosphere. My favorite Aspen Mexican Restaurant<\/a> is a tie between Zocalito Bistro<\/a> which is more Latin American and Su Casa<\/a> which is more authentic Mexican food. My final choice for a first date is Su Casa<\/a> for the fun lively atmosphere and the great food!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
