We were able to start it off with the Wonderful world of eggs hosted by Jacques &amp; Claudine Pepin, which was fun. \u00a0Meeting Jacques the day before showed a glimpse of the light heartedness that made his cooking demo quite entertaining. \u00a0The back and forth between him and his daughter reminded me of a classic comedy duo. \u00a0I left inspired to try a few of the eggcellent creations, just need to track down the recipes and I&#8217;ll share.<\/p>\n<p>The second Grand Tasting of the day was nice as it was less crowded than the first and easier to mingle with the producers. \u00a0The slight rain &amp; temperature drop earlier in the day kept some away, I&#8217;m sure. \u00a0It&#8217;s easy to be overwhelmed with the offering of goodies in the tasting tent but a few things stood out. \u00a0Didn&#8217;t really focus in any particular direction during the tastings. \u00a0We just roamed around trying a little bit of everything. \u00a0A few things did stand out, one of which was Rob&#8217;s MTN GIN served up by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.303vodka.com\/\">Boulder Distillery<\/a>. \u00a0I found it to be a\u00a0smooth &amp; mellow gin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Great day at the Food &#038; Wine classic today.
