Thanksgiving has always been one of the more interesting holidays in my book. \u00a0It all started with a “stray dog” thanksgiving one year at college. \u00a0A few of us stayed at school for the holiday break and were invited to a faculty member’s home for the holiday. \u00a0There we found 20 unrelated people enjoying each others company with a feast of food and cocktails.<\/p>\n

That is what sets this holiday apart. \u00a0Its key ingredients are good food, good drink, and good people. Family is nice, but not necessary. \u00a0A large part of Aspen is made of transplants that left friends and family “Back East” or elsewhere, and because of this, Aspen has a great tradition of welcoming randoms together to form that “family”. \u00a0So I hope you find yourself at someone’s table or find someone at your table. \u00a0If not there are a few Aspen Restaurants and others that invite you to dine.<\/p>\n

Thursday Nov. 27th Thanksgiving<\/strong>
\nThe Hotel Jerome<\/strong>\u00a0is offering a huge and varied selection on its Thanksgiving Day Buffet. \u00a0$85<\/strong>\u00a0per person\u00a0$45<\/strong>\u00a0under 12<\/p>\n

Jimmy’s Restaurant<\/strong>\u00a0offers a Thanksgiving day\u00a0delivery\u00a0for\u00a0$38<\/strong>\u00a0per person minimum of two. \u00a0Order by the 26th 970-925-6020<\/p>\n

The Hickory House<\/strong>\u00a0Restaurant offers a\u00a0Free<\/strong>\u00a0turkey dinner with all the trimmings. \u00a0Donations welcome of course. \u00a0This is a great place to find the “community” in Aspen.<\/p>\n

Explore Bistro<\/strong>\u00a0is offering a\u00a0veggie<\/strong>\u00a0feast for those that normally feel left out on Turkey Day. \u00a011:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

There are other Aspen Restaurants,\u00a0Lu Lu Wilson, Ruth’s Chris, Dish Aspen, and Bentley’s<\/strong>\u00a0included,\u00a0that will offer a Traditional Thanksgiving Plate.<\/p>\n
