{"id":1778,"date":"2010-02-26T10:54:50","date_gmt":"2010-02-26T17:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eataspen.com\/blog\/?p=1778"},"modified":"2010-02-26T10:54:50","modified_gmt":"2010-02-26T17:54:50","slug":"highlands-black-tie-duct-tape-ball","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eataspen.com\/blog\/highlands-black-tie-duct-tape-ball\/","title":{"rendered":"Highlands Black Tie &amp; Duct Tape Ball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last winter, 2009 that is, \u00a0Aspen Highlands Ski area celebrated it&#8217;s 5oth anniversary with an evening bash at<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.eataspen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC0969611.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1777\" title=\"DSC09696\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.eataspen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC096961-150x150.jpg?resize=150%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> the\u00a0mid mountain restaurant the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eataspen.com\/fulllisting.php?row=152\" target=\"_self\">Merry-go-Round<\/a>. \u00a0There was a equal mix of ski bum, ski patrol, and ski brass. A buffet, Champagne, wine, cocktails, and a Jamming band (Jes Crew). \u00a0The attire was black tie &amp; duct tape, which was adhered to in some since with some full on tux &amp; tails ensembles as well as the duct tape enthusiasts (the creative crowd).<\/p>\n<p>It all proved to be a very unique and entertaining experience. \u00a0So why not do it again. \u00a0This Saturday February 27, 2010 is the second &#8220;Black Tie &amp; Duct Tape Ball at Aspen Highlands&#8221;. \u00a0Aspen Ski Company employees can purchase tickets for $40, $65 for non-employees. Includes buffet dinner with prime rib and a glass or wine or beer\/ \u00a0Live band and dancing with Nite Plane.
