Who knew! ?<\/p>\n<p>After trick or treating with \u00a0my sister we&#8217;d sit in the living room floor and spill all our candy onto the floor from our pumpkin buckets. We spread out our candy so we could see all the different types and then the trading began! \u00a0I&#8217;ll trade you a butterfingers for a Snickers!! \u00a0What is your favorite Halloween candy?<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>U.S. candy manufacturing industry<\/strong> includes about <strong>1,600 companies<\/strong>, but <strong>just 2<\/strong>(the Hersheys Co. and Mars Snackfoods U.S.) make 15 of the top-20 selling chocolate candy bars.<\/p>\n<p>Only <strong>26%<\/strong> of homes gives out <strong>full-sized <\/strong>candy bars. <strong>Fun-sized <\/strong>Snickers bars are the most popular Halloween candy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treat:<\/strong> Austin, Charlotte, and San Antonio lead U.S. Halloween spending on candy and decorations, with <strong>$53<\/strong> per household.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trick:<\/strong> Cincinnati spends the least, <strong>$35<\/strong>. 93% of kids go trick-or-treating.<\/p>\n<p>There are <strong>22 <\/strong>M&amp;M colors.<\/p>\n<p>Mar&#8217;s <strong>M&amp;Ms<\/strong> are the most popular <strong>chocolate<\/strong> candies in the United States, with annual sales of almost <strong>$425 million. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Halloween is responsible for <strong>three-fourths<\/strong> of candy corn&#8217;s annual sales.<\/p>\n<p>October 30th is <strong>national Candy Corn Day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly <strong>9 billion pieces<\/strong> of candy corn are produced annually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prohibition<\/strong> was a sweet age of revenge: <strong>Baby Ruths<\/strong>, Oh Henry!, <strong>Charleston Chew<\/strong>, Mounds, <strong>Milky Way<\/strong>, Reese&#8217;s peanut butter cups, <strong>Bit-O-Honey<\/strong>, Mr Goodbar, <strong>Milk Duds<\/strong>, Butterfinger, and <strong>Snickers<\/strong> all debuted between <strong>1920<\/strong> and <strong>1930<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>America will <strong>spend $9 billion<\/strong> on Halloween. The average person will spend <strong>$20.39<\/strong> of that on candy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Every day<\/strong>, Tootsie Roll Industries produces <strong>16 million Tootsie Pops<\/strong>.
