\"farmers-market\"<\/a>This week Aspen’s Saturday Farmers Market will be on Friday July 3rd <\/strong>on Hunter St. and Hopkins Ave.\u00a0Since July 4th falls on Saturday the street closures for the parade coupled with the closed streets for the market equals strangling all downtown Aspen traffic on the busiest day of the year. So they must separate the two from each other. The Fourth of July Parade must really happen on the 4th of July in Aspen so Aspen’s Saturday Market<\/a> must happen on Friday. Got it… Good… Personally I think you just have the two together and make the 4th one big pedestrian friendly festival.<\/p>\n

But What is Really important is…..<\/strong>
\nWe will be making our annual appearance 4th of July week at the Aspen Farmer’s Market this Friday July 3rd.<\/strong> The EatAspen booth<\/strong> will once again judge who amongst us is the Fastest Watermelon Eater in the West<\/strong> at high noon.<\/p>\n

We are also calling on all Aspenites & Aspen Ideas Festival attendees to take a chance with your powers of the mind by trying to win the Jelly Bean Counting contest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is actually quite entertaining for us, watching minds at work, especially young minds. Closest to the actual number wins all the beans. \u00a0Find the EatAspen.com<\/a> booth in front of The Cheese Shop<\/a> \/ Specialty Foods of Aspen<\/a> on Hunter Street in downtown Aspen Friday July 3rd and say hi, take a guess, have some melon, and be happy.<\/p>\n
