2012 St. Regis 1st Annual Tree Lighting Ritual & Celebratory Thanksgiving Menus
From Splendid Feasts to a Festive Community Tree Lighting, the Mountain Resort Welcomes Locals and Visitors to Embrace the Holiday Spirit
Join The St. Regis Aspen Resort, the iconic mountain retreat nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain, for
a memorable Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends over gourmet meals and the resort’s 1st Annual Tree Lighting Ritual.
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, The Restaurant at the St. Regis Aspen Resort celebrates the holiday with a grand, buffet-style menu. Guests will enjoy dishes like Organic Carrot-Curry Soup with fried leeks & avalanche goat cheese; New York Strip Roasted in Salt Crust with wild mushroom demi-glace and Duck Fat Cooked Potato Wedges with herbs. The Restaurant will offer their Thanksgiving menu between 11 am and 4 pm for $95.00 per adult, which includes a celebratory glass of Champagne, and $39.00 per child, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
For guests looking to enjoy the holiday meal at home without spending the day cooking, The St. Regis will offer beautifully prepared meals available for pick-up. With a minimum of 72 hour notice, Chef Thomas Riordan will create holiday classics like Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque with caramelized apples chestnuts and cinnamon whipped cream; Brioche-Rosemary Stuffing and Maple Glazed Organic Whole Turkey with traditional turkey gravy. Dinner for 6-8 people starts at $465.00.
On Saturday, November 24, The St. Regis Aspen Resort celebrates their 1st Annual Tree Lighting Ritual from 4 pm—6 pm in the Fountain Courtyard. Open to everyone, the holiday affair will feature visits from Santa Claus, holiday carolers and festive refreshments.
Schedule of Events:
4 pm—5 pm: Aspen Middle and High School carolers
4:30 pm: Special visit from Santa Claus
5 pm: Champagne sabering and holiday toast by General Manager Heather Steenge-Hart
5:30 pm: First annual tree lighting with music by BooCoo
The Ritual will be complimentary and all guests will be invited to enjoy holiday cookies, hot chocolate and Glühwein spiced wine.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, guests may also reserve The St. Regis Aspen Resort’s “Thanksgiving Package,” which includes:
- Three nights for two guests over the Thanksgiving holiday in the World Cup Race View Room (premium room category), the perfect spot to watch the skiers race to the finish line
- Dinner for two on Thanksgiving Day at the new Chefs Club by FOOD & WINE. This innovative restaurant features a select group of Best News Chefs curating a biannual rotating menu of seasonally-inspired cuisine
- Farm-to-Massage-Table treatment for two at Remède Spa – rosemary mint savory scrub; warm apple cider or candied chestnut sweet body butter application; with coordinated seasonal bites
The package is priced at $1,904, commemorating the year The St. Regis New York opened; dates must include Thursday, November 22. Package does not include tax and gratuity.
