The other Aspen restaurant space that just may leave their plates empty is Ruth’s Chris. They have occupied the Guido’s buildings second floor for almost three years. Reports are mentioning that Ruth’s Chris Mng. are alleging the landlord broke lease agreements concerning patio space they should have been allowed to use. Other’s will say it is just a dust up in order to break the lease for the flailing chain restaurant franchise in Aspen. To be honest any type of chain restaurant is up for a challenge in Aspen. Aspenites like things to be uniquely Aspen. Ruth’s Chris after all comes from a highly corporate culture and sometimes that is just not attractive in a town where funky once was king. They had a better run than the previous restaurant Manrico which lasted a year and was easy to predict with the least expensive item on the menu was a $30 soup.
