I think we knew it was coming but Aspen restaurant Cooper Street closed this past Wednesday! I guess they haven’t paid their rent for four months. Where I am renting, I would not have gotten four months of not paying my rent.
I should be sad that one of Aspen’s local restaurants that has responsible prices has closed. I didn’t enjoy the dirty dark bar. I didn’t enjoy the food or the atmosphere. However it was one of Aspen’s bars that was priced right and a great place for many locals and working men and women to hang out.
A new restaurant and bar may go into Aspen’s Cooper Street Bar. Hopefully it is not another high end restaurant. I think Aspen has enough high end restaurants and bar. Who knows?!
