Reviews of Cloud Nine OVERALL RATINGS
Add Your Review March 14, 2009 Overall Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Five of us had the fondu with tossed green salad, roles, wine and bread for dipping. All ingredients were fresh, seasoned perfectly and tasty. The fondu normally served with bread however for our tastes as well as value fruit, and vegetables should have been included for a complete cheese fondu. Clearly overpriced for what you received. Definitely would avoid in the future despite the magnificient view of the maroon bells. Truly once in a life time experience.
March 14, 2009 Overall Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I went to Cloud Nine for the fondue and found it very tasty. I was a bit disappointed that for $31 all they gave you to dip it in was bread. The other food passing by looked really good and I would love to try somthing other than the fondue. If you do get the fondue, you can't sit outside to enjoy the sun, which bummed me out as the veiws are amazing up there. The service was wonderfull and not at all stuffy. I would eat there again in a heartbeat!
February 20, 2009 Overall Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Went to Cloud 9 today for lunch and it was by FAR the best on-the-mountain dining experience I have ever had. Think of your typical lunch-time dining for a ski day. You walk in, you have to scour for 20 minutes for an open table, then wait in line for another 10 minutes and wait for them to cook your food, and then pay a fortune for food that isn't all that great. Cloud 9 is a completely different experience. The restaurant, which is located at the top of the Cloud 9 Lift in Aspen Highlands, is perched perfectly with a view of the Rocky Mountains. We made reservations for 3 through our hotel the night before, and couldn't have been more excited. The building seats maybe 25 people, and the tables are right next to each other. It is a very cozy situation haha! The inside of the restaurant looked identical to the inside of an Austrian or Swiss mountain restaurant. Very authentic! The waiter pours you a bottle of water immediately as you sit down. The menu is limited, which normally would bother me but EVERYTHING on the menu looked so good. On the left hand side of the menu are the daily specials, and the right side has specials for every day of the week. I had the Beef Pie, my sister had the salmon and my bro-in-law had the lamb sausages. INCREDIBLE!! For dessert we all split the apply cobbler with ice cream. Let me tell you: it was sooooo impossible to get back on to the mountain after that meal because we were so stuffed! The waiter even took pictures of us outside in front of the mountains with my camera after the meal. Amazing, and I can't wait to go back!
