Had heard good things but was very disappointed. Food was overpriced, dried out, and had very little flavor.

My second time here because it is one of my favorite restaurants in Aspen! This is my third winter in Aspen and ever since we found out about this restaurant, we just kept coming back. They have EXCELLENT food, and the service is great! We had a very experienced waiter. The only downfall about my recent visit was that they made my family wait 20 minutes when we had a reservation assigned for 7:30pm and did not get seated until 7:50pm. The fantastic food made up for the poor service, but this should not happen again!

Pacifica is a seafood restaurant with an adjacent outdoor seating. It is not big - the raw bar taking up a lot of space and it's very noisy.
We went there on a Saturday night and the place was full.
The menu is big enough, the list long and the prix fixe offers nice selections at $39.
We chose from the prix fixe menu. The heirloom tomato salad was good. The Ono was very good and peach dessert very good.
The service is scarce. Hordes of service people parade up and down - no one looks at you. There was one person who did but he was busy elsewhere too.

I really liked Pacifica because this restaurant was a perfect place to chow down after a long day of skiing. On menu they had a nice mix of hot and cold seafood plates, including sushi and sashimi. I had the Hamachi Sashimi for appetizer, which was incredible. It was topped with blood oranges and pears, with some avocado mixed in. For my entree I enjoyed the Seafood Pasta, which came with lobster, scallops, mussels, shrimp and sablefish, braised fennel all in a saffron broth. These people know how to cook! The waitress was very attentive and responsive, and really helped us hurry our meal along as we had to catch a John Oats concert at the Wheeler after the meal.

Was sat in a cozy spot shielded from the cold, yet right by a window so we could people watch as we dined. The bar was decorated with several artsy martini glasses filled with fake ice to give the bar a trendy, cool look. I would definitely dine here again if I had the chance.

I wish that I could give this restaurant ZERO stars.

To start, I've never written a review on any site before, but this experience was so bad that I've felt compelled to do so to warn others. While we recognized that the restaurant was busy the night that we were there, we had no problem waiting since we didn't have a reservation. However, there were only two of us and we were the only ones waiting. Two tables became available and it took them 15 minutes (yes, I was watching my watch intently) for them to clean them off when they knew we were waiting and there was hardly any room to stand in this tiny restaurant. It took them another 5 mins or so to reset one. Once we were finally seated, it took forever for the waitress to show up. Once she did, and found out that we weren't interested in appetizers, she apparently decided that we we not worth her time and took an age to show up again to take our order, bring food, bring check. She was terse, rude, sort of threw things around like "how dare you make me actually do my job", slow, and overall the ABSOLUTE WORST waitress I've ever encountered.

The food was EXTRAORDINARILY EXPENSIVE (expected for Aspen), but we were shocked by the PATHETIC portions relative to the price. And the food wasn't even that great. For the price, you'd expect the food to at least be above average - it wasn't. We live in CO, so I've been to Aspen many times. I know that it's expensive to eat out there, but this was the most egregious price/portion ratio I've ever seen in Aspen or anywhere else, including Manhattan. Again, no appetizers, no alcoholic drinks - only two MEDIOCRE entrees and we left the restaurant $100 poorer and starving because we couldn't bear to give them another DIME!

To sum up:
- Too expensive
- Mediocre food
- HORRIBLE service
- Poor atmosphere
- Rudeness everywhere - patrons, hostesses, waitress, everyone!

We stumbled upon Pacifica and had the best meal of our trip in Aspen. I had trout and my husband the tuna and we shared lobster crabcakes. Great Service as well!
