New Aspen Restaurants

OPENING SOON – HOPS CULTURE

We are delighted to announce Aspen’s newest restaurant-bar, HOPS Culture. We’ll be Located at 414 East Hyman Avenue, in the center of Aspen’s bustling Hyman Mall, and are projected to open in Spring 2014. HOPS Culture is incredibly excited to provide Aspen’s locals and visitors with a casual, fun and hip craft beer and wine focused experience.

HOPS Culture will feature an enormous selection of over 200 craft beers from America and the world; at least 30 of the beer and cider selections will be on tap, and constantly rotating. In addition, we will offer 20 delicious wines by the glass, and a variety of ‘mule’ style cocktails served in gleaming copper mugs.

The great eats at HOPS Culture will focus on three primary categories – Melted Sandwiches, Mac n’ Cheese, and Huge Seasonal Salads. Executive Chef Sarah Helsley, formerly of The Little Nell and The Cheese Shop, said “We are thrilled to be developing comfortable, delicious and wholesome menu items like our Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Garlic-French Bread Stuffed with Lasagna, Gourmet ‘Greek Style’ Baked Mac n’ Cheese with artichoke hearts, spinach, shallots and feta, and Winter Squash Salad with black rice, arugula, and candied pecans. Our entire menu will be prepared from scratch using local and seasonal ingredients whenever possible.”

“With the opening of HOPS Culture, casual dining in Aspen will be revolutionized.” said Bill Guth, local entrepreneur and Owner. “HOPS Culture will be distinguished by its incredible beverage offerings, quality food and convivial atmosphere, while remaining approachable and affordable for all.”

HOPS Culture is being designed by local architect Joseph Spears of S2 Architects, and will include materials like wood beams, reclaimed brick, steel and concrete, combined to create a comfortable urban styled environment where great food and craft beer can be enjoyed. Joseph said “My favorite spot in the restaurant is the ‘Living Room’ where super comfy sofas are nestled next to a roaring fireplace and 2 of HOPS Culture’s 11 HDTV’s.”

HOPS Culture’s 27-seat bar and 100-seat indoor and outdoor dining areas are located at 414 E. Hyman Ave in the heart of Aspen’s commercial core.
