Limelight Live Music, Beer Dinners & more

The Limelight is ready to welcome locals and guests alike for the summer season, gearing up for live music three nights a week, new beer/distillery dinners, Full Moon Cruiser Rides and a completely re-imagined summer menu that makes use of Colorado’s seasonal bounty.

Free live music returns to The Lounge at The Limelight running Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through September 14, with some exceptions due to special events on property.  A variety of local bands will perform from 6:30-9:30 p.m., with Defiance String Band, the Mile Markers, Michael Jude and John Michel of the John Oates Band, Guilty Pleasure, and others gracing the stage. Visit www.limelighthotel.com and click on “Be in the Know!” for a full schedule, or call 970-925-3025.

The Limelight is also continuing to offer exclusive beer dinners this summer with a new lineup of brewmasters. In addition to beer dinners (with brands such as Avery Brewing Company, Oskar Blues and New Belgium), this summer the Lounge will include distillery dinners, partnered with local Woody Creek Distillers and Boulder-based Suerte Tequila.  Dinners are every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. and start June 25 and end September 17. Guests will partake in a three course meal and specialty beer/spirit pairing for $40, including tax and gratuity. Dinner is served on the outside patio, overlooking Wagner Park. Reservations must be made in advance, as there are only 14 seats that fill up fast. Call 970-925-3025 to reserve a spot.

The Limelight Moonlight Cruiser Rides will be held on June 20, July 25, August 22 and September 19. Riders should meet at The Limelight Hotel between 8 – 9 p.m., where extended happy hour pricing on pizza is offered and $4 beer specials will be available. The rides officially start at 9 p.m. from the hotel. Locals are encouraged to B.Y.O.B. – Bring Your Own Bike – and Limelight Hotel guests have access to the complimentary bikes at the hotel on a first-come, first-served basis.

Aspen’s longest happy hour is still available daily at The Limelight from 3-7 p.m., including $10 pizzas, $2 Bud Light, $4 beer and $6.50 house wine.

Chef Joe Gonyo has added a variety of new dishes to the summer menu, including Black Peppercorn-Crusted Elk Carpaccio with over-easy farm egg, smoked sea salt, fried capers and micro greens; Charred Peach Caprese Salad with buffalo mozzarella, watercress, heirloom tomato and aged balsamic; and Wild Mushroom Marsala Pizza with Haystack Mountain camembert cheese, caramelized onions, and parmesan regiano. Desserts like Palisade Peach Streusel and Shortcake Bread Pudding finish with something sweet. View Limelight Menu
